Kyung Ah Lee
Kyung-a Lee is an accomplished performer and teacher of samulnori, the vibrant tradition of Korean percussion. A graduate of Baekje Arts University, she trained with the Gyeonggi Province branch of Kim Duk-soo's celebrated Hanullim ensemble — a lineage that connects her to one of the most revered names in Korean traditional music.
Her performance career includes membership in the "Kkokdu" troupe at the Suwon Cultural Center, and she has served as director of the Sorihyang Korean music institute. In Los Angeles, she held the role of deputy director of the samulnori team TEAM NORI, and she currently directs TEAM Oolim at the Korea Town Art Center, a traditional art she is committed to sharing with students for generations to come.
Mi-jung Lee
Mi-jung Lee is a seasoned Korean traditional dancer with twenty years of performance experience both in Korea and abroad. She completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Yongin University, where she also served as a special guest lecturer — a testament to the esteem in which she is held in her field.
Her artistry has been recognized at major competitions, including a Bronze Award at the Yukwansoon Dance Festival and a Grand Prize at the Chumddri National Dance Competition. She has been a member of Inhu Dance Company and has served as a guidance committee member at the Korea Traditional Dance Institute. She is also an officially designated inheritor of the Handkerchief Dance (Sugeoncheom) of Jeonbuk Special Autonomous Province, a traditional form she is committed to preserving for future generations.
Gu Na-young
Gu Na-young is a distinguished Korean traditional dancer whose career spans more than four decades of performance, teaching, and leadership. She graduated from the Dance Department at Hansung University in 1984 and went on to complete her graduate studies at Chung-Ang University in 1996. In 2000 she joined the faculty of Hansung University as a lecturer — a reflection of the respect she commands within her field.
For over twenty years, from 1983 to 2004, she served as training director of the Incheon Metropolitan Dance Company, where she guided and shaped countless professional dancers. She currently leads as director of the Hanye Dance Company, continuing a lifelong dedication to the art form and to the students who carry it forward.
